MANAMA, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Bahrain is set to appoint a cultural attache to China after a cabinet approval on Sunday. The Minister of State for Information Affairs and official government spokeswoman Sameera Rajab highlighted this during a press conference on Sunday following the weekly cabinet meeting.
"There are over 500 Bahrainis studying at different Chinese universities that requires the appointment of an attache," said Mr. Rajab.
In the past few months delegations from both Manama and Beijing have met with political and business leaders to enhance ties between the two countries.
A number of Chinese companies have been taking Bahrain as a base to launch their businesses, including Huawei, Bank of China, China Harbor Engendering and Daily Wealth Limited.
