BEIJING, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- China and Kazakhstan on Tuesday vowed to enhance cooperation between their legislatures to promote the development of ties.
The pledge came out of a meeting between China's top legislator Zhang Dejiang and Vice Chairman of the Lower House of the Kazakh parliament Dariga Nazarbayeva.
Zhang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), said the NPC is ready to further promote exchanges with the Kazakh parliament to strengthen experience sharing on lawmaking and national governance to create a better legal environment for bilateral cooperation.
Nazarbayeva echoed Zhang, saying the lower house will strengthen cooperation with the NPC to push forward Kazakhstan-China relations to a new high.
