BEIJING, May 4 (Xinhua) -- Chinese social organizations and institutions will look to further international cooperation in elderly services at the third China International Senior Services Expo which began on Sunday.
Delegations from 11 countries and regions will research and communicate with more than 300 senior care institutions from over 20 Chinese provincial-level regions. Cooperation agreements will be signed at the three-day event.
Eleven sub-symposiums will be held, covering living environment for the elderly, cultivation of service workers, home-based senior care and financial services for the aged.
The expo, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Beijing municipal government and the China National Committee on Aging, will also release ten professional books on senior care, including training physical therapists and nutritionists.
