BEIJING, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed three new ambassadors, according to a statement issued by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) on Monday.
Xi made the appointments in line with decisions made by the Standing Committee of the NPC, China's top legislature.
Sun Baohong has been appointed ambassador to Ghana, replacing Gong Jianzhong.
Xu Jianguo has been appointed ambassador to Ireland, replacing Luo Linquan.
Li Ruiyou has been appointed ambassador to Papua New Guinea, replacing Qiu Bohua.
