BEIJING, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese security chief Meng Jianzhu met in Beijing on Monday with Russian Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
Meng, secretary of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said cooperation between China and Russia on law enforcement has been greatly enhanced since the establishment of the mechanism of bilateral law enforcement cooperation in July.
He called on both sides to set up a communication channel and cooperate more to combat the "three evil forces of terrorism, separatism and extremism," as well as economic and drug-related crime.
Kolokoltsev said Russia will spare no effort in promoting joint law enforcement.
Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Guo Shengkun also attended the meeting.
