BEIJING, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Qiushi ("Seeking Truth"), the flagship magazine of the Communist Party of China (CPC), on Sunday will publish an article by senior Party official Zhou Yongkang on social management.
In the article titled "Pushing Forward Social Management of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics on a Broader Path," Zhou summarizes a series of major decisions and policies as well as the positive changes and progress achieved in the country's social management work since the CPC's 17th National Congress.
Zhou, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, urged Party and government departments in various regions to deepen the implementation of central policies and "accurately grasp the changing situations of the world, the country, the Party and the society."
Calling on these departments to adapt to people's expectations and demands, Zhou urged them to positively explore new social management concepts and measures in a timely and innovative manner in order to boost the scientific level of, and ensure a wider path for, social management work.
Zhou said these concepts and measures should focus on outstanding issues that may affect social stability and harmony.
