BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- China's top legislature has invited the public to give feedback on the enforcement of the Law on Protection of the Disabled, in a bid to check the law's implementation.
Till June 30, the public can log on www.npc.gov.cn, the website of the National People's Congress (NPC), to record existing problems in the law's implementation and their suggestions, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by the NPC.
The public are also encouraged to write letters to the congress reflecting problems and advice concerning the law.
Additionally, field inspections on the law's implementation have been ordered across the nation, according to the statement.
It cited inviting public feedback as an example of how the NPC is innovating on ensuring laws are implemented, adding that opinions collected will be made public.
The amended Law on the Protection of the Disabled took effect on July 1, 2008, giving disabled people access to better medical care, financial support, fair job opportunities and favorable tax policies.
