NANJING, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Three more workers died in hospital, bringing the death toll to five in platform collapse at a construction site in east China's Jiangsu Province.

By 11 p.m., four others injured were still receiving treatment, and among them, one was in critical condition, said a spokesman with the Funing county government.

Nine workers were working on the platform when it fell at about 11:10 a.m. at the site of a company manufacturing facilities for offshore wind power farm in Funing county, said the spokesman. Two of them died on the scene.

Three of the relevant managers have been in police custody and the cause of the accident is being investigated.
