BEIJING, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- The two-day National Financial Work Conference concluded Saturday, laying out development plans for the financial sector in the coming five years, according to a statement released after the meeting.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao was present at the conference and delivered a keynote speech.

Such a conference is held every five years. Similar meetings were held in 1997, 2002 and 2007.
