CHICAGO, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao arrived here on Thursday afternoon from Washington, after meetings with U.S. President Barack Obama on major bilateral and world issues.
During their talks Wednesday, the two leaders agreed to build a China-U.S. cooperative partnership based on mutual respect and mutual benefit.
In Chicago, Hu will meet local officials and visit a high school, Chinese officials said.

Hu arrived in Washington Tuesday for a four-day visit to the United States. The trip, his second as head of state, is aimed at enhancing the positive, cooperative and comprehensive relationship between China and the United States.
The Chinese president visited the United States in April 2006.
