BEIJING, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang met here Thursday with Portuguese Minister of State and Foreign Minister Luis Amado, calling for cooperation on areas like renewable energy between the two countries.
China is undergoing transformation of the economic development pattern and adjustment of the economic structure and has huge market for "green economy" while the European countries including Portugal have advanced technology on renewable energy, said Li.
"The two sides could enhance exchanges and complement each other's advantages to achieve win-win results," said Li.

Li said China appreciated the role Portugal has played as a European Union member, hoping the two countries could continue to consolidate political trust and promote common development.
Amado, who is paying an official visit to China from April 8 to 10, said Portugal regards China as its important partner in Asia and is willing to work with China to lift bilateral ties to a new level
