BEIJING, July 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Jessica Simpson seems to be dating with another football player, according to people.com reports Tuesday.

The singer, who split up with Nick Lachey in 2006 and dated with Dallas Cowboys star Tony Romo for two years, is dipping back into the NFL dating pool, seeing former San Francisco 49ers tight end Eric Johnson.

Johnson filed for divorce from his wife in February of this year, and he and Jessica have been together since May.

"It's true," a source close to Simpson confirms the news.

"She is happy that she found a great guy. She's really happy."

The singer, who turns 30 on Saturday, has said that she's working on her self-esteem and feels hopeful about finding love.
