BEIJING, March 26 -- Chinese actress Zhou Xun promoted a low-carbon lifestyle on Wednesday in Beijing.

Zhou suggested audience members to "use low-energy bulbs," and to "reduce the use of air conditioning."

Working as a popular actress, Zhou spends an equal amount of effort in raising environmental awareness. She is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme, and with a career that involves frequent air travel, she has reportedly offered to purchase carbon offsets.
