LOS ANGELES, June 12 (Xinhua) -- British actor Daniel Craig will continue to play his role as MI6 spy 007 in the forthcoming installment of the James Bond film franchise, the film's producers confirmed on Friday.

The producers also named the three writers who will pen the script for the 23rd Bond film, whose production schedule has yet to be announced.

    Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who worked on the past four Bond films, will write the screenplay with Peter Morgan, whose screenwriting credits include "Frost/Nixon," "The Queen" and "The Last King of Scotland," according to producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.

    The new film will be Craig's third turn as the dashing double agent, following "Quantum of Solace" and "Casino Royale."
