BEIJING, April 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Samantha Ronson's family is seeking a restraining order against Lindsay Lohan, a famous American actress, model and pop singer, as the lesbin pair is taking break, reported OK! magazine Wednesday.

Sam's mother, Ann Dexter-Jones, and sister, fashion designer Charlotte Ronson, were at an LA Police Department to look into filing a restraining order because Sam wants to "send a message" to Lindsay.

    A policeman on duty instructed the Ronsons to file a petition for a restraining order at the courthouse in Santa Monica.

    A sergeant on duty could not confirm what else the Ronsons might have discussed during their visit to the station, saying: “As far as I know, there was nothing documented yet today.”

    Lindsay declared that she and the 31-year-old Ronson, who announced they were a couple in September, are "taking a brief break so I can focus on myself."

    She made the comments to E! News Monday after a tumultuous weekend that saw the troubled pop star barred from a Ronson family party. The two have been dogged by rumors of arguments and breakups for months and are often photographed fighting.
