Sir Roger Moore played the iconic British spy James Bond for more than a decade, he died in Switzerland after a short battle with cancer. He was 89.
Because of Moore's commitment to his long running series "The Saint" as an actor, producer and director...He wasn't available for the James Bond franchise for a long time.

Eventually, Moore played James Bond in seven of the film's franchise, starting with "Live and Let Die" in 1973 and ending with "A View to a Kill" in 1985.
