美语听力素材:特朗普推特账号遭起诉
日期:2017-07-12
President Trump sees his tweets as a way around the media he calls "fake news," messaging directly to Americans on the same account he set up in 2009 that now has more than 33 million followers:
(Spicer) "They're considered official statements by the President of the United States."
Press Secretary Sean Spicer last month.
But not everyone gets those statements. The President has blocked some people who criticized or mocked him.
So on Tuesday, seven Twitter users and a Columbia University first amendment institute filed suit in federal court in New York, claiming it's unconstitutional for the President to suppress dissent.
